Counselling for anxiety, trauma and relationship difficulties in London and online

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected can be difficult to carry alone. I offer weekly counselling for adults and couples. I create a supportive space to explore painful experiences. I'll help you understand yourself better and create meaningful change.

I work with an intersectional and inclusive approach. I welcome people from marginalised backgrounds and those who have struggled to find therapy where they feel fully seen and understood.

How I work

Me.jpg

As a BACP accredited therapist with over 10 years' experience, I work integratively. This means I use different approaches in our work. I use psychodynamic theory to look at your past, your relationships and how they shape you. And person-centred theory which means I believe you can be the best version of yourself, given the right support.

With an intersectional lens I pay careful attention to how your identity, self-defined or socially described, connects to your inner voice and impacts how you experience pain. Identities are many and varied including race, gender, class, sexuality, neurodivergence, culture and ability.

As a clinical supervisor, our work will be informed by integrative theories focusing on transference, countertransference and unconscious processes. You’ll get a reflective, challenging and supportive space to develop.

What Others Say

I wasn't sure what therapy was about. Taking time out with Emma to focus on what I could control in my life gave me a greater sense of purpose and alleviated my anxiety.

Anonymous client

I was very apprehensive starting counselling and Emma made me feel welcome and calmer in our sessions. I knew I needed some support to deal with and process my past but was unsure how this would work and how I would feel. By the end of our sessions Emma had guided me to a place where I had learnt a lot about how I carried forward things/interpretations/beliefs about my past and how they had manifested to impact me currently. This has brought me a big sense of relief through understanding. Thank you Emma’
